Construction Description

This is a cold molded wood boat that most naval architects believe to be stronger than a FRP constructed boat. Great care was exhibited during the construction of this yacht. Every piece of wood is completely encapsulated with epoxy. Every hole drilled to mount hardware was coated with epoxy before the hardware was installed. This should prevent any wood rot in the case of water entering a fastener attachment point.

This yacht is a true blue water cruiser that has never seen salt water. It was designed to be sink proof utilizing the following techniques:suite to be inflated with scuba tanks. This system has not yet been installed, but would be required to render the yacht completely sink proof. piece of plywood to the hull exterior.

Who wants be be floating around the ocean in a life raft when all their needed food, water, tools, radios and medical supplies are on board the yacht. This yacht has a pilothouse helm and a helm in the cockpit both equipped with 8 or 12 Furuno 3D MFDs.

The pilot house has thick tempered glass to prevent damage when a boarding wave crashes aboard. There are also provisions made for adding 3/8 plexiglass storm panels for emergencies. The frames and hardware for mounting these panels are included but not the plexiglass.

The forward 1/3 of this yacht has never been used and is in new condition. The water has never been turned onto the forward head or washing machine. Please note this is a washing machine and not the very unreliable washer/dryer combo.

This yacht contains all Furuno electronics except the forward looking sonar. Most commerical fishermen have rated Furuno as the beat most dependable equipment on the market.

This yacht has the very powerful and dependable Telflex hydraulic steering system along with the Furuno autopilot.  A new telflex hydraulic ram is also carried on board for a backup system.

There is a 4.5 cu. ft. refrigerator and a 6 cu. ft. freezer aboard.

There is a separate walk in shower in the master suite with a bench seat.

A steel bar is installed from the aft of the keel to the forward end of the skeg.  This is to protect the prop from lobster pot warps during night time ocean navigation.

The cockpit helm is designed to be easy to remove to provide for more cockpit room when at anchor and to make it much more difficult for thieves to steal the yacht while one is onshore.

Both heads utilize push button Lavac vacu-flush toilets using one quart of potable water per flush.  These are the most dependable trouble free toilets on the market.  The yacht carries 148 gals. of potable water.

Carver Yachts built the life lines and cockpit enclosure, WI.

Both fore & aft 2'x2' hatches have the storm covers built but not installed because we did not need them.

All ports open fully and have screens & rain covers not yet installed.

All seacocks are brass and not cheap plastic.

The his & hers chairs in the main salon can be made stationary or can be rocking chairs. Additionally, the captains chair adjusts up for the inside helm.

The limit of positive stability is supposed to be at least 128 degrees, however I have not verified this.

We had the yacht inspected by a navel architect upon completion in 2011 and corrected any deficiencies he found.

We still have that report where he estimated the value at 1.25 million.

Many spare parts included.

We left the navigation station space blank for extra storage for cruising. Instead we installed a pull out desk between the rocking chairs in the main salon.

West system epoxy use throughout the entire construction of this yacht
