Hurrah is a freshwater LM Mermaid 315. She has been meticulously maintained, freshwater sailed is ready for her next adventure.
It is a fine sailing boat with no bad habits, rigged so that it can be single handed.
Inside, it is dry and free of condensation even in chilly weather. Its joinery resembles Danish furniture.
It is beautifully and solidly built, with a very fair  hull and no osmotic blistering, and it is approved by Norske Veritas, the Lloyd's of Scandinavia. The hull has a canoe stern and a fixed windshield, features useful on the US Great Lakes as on the North Sea. Decks are teak bedded in sealant without screws and in perfect condition. The boat is white w/ turquoise trim, protected by a strong rub rail.

Accomodations & Layout

The forward cabin has a V-berth with a filler cushion and shelves. The head is just aft and starboard with additional shelves and a hanging locker opposite in dressing room.
The main saloon has a drop-leaf dining table that seats six with the port and starboard settee converting to double berths. The saloon can be closed off from the forward dressing room by a folding door.  
The interior finish is varnished teak with teak cabin sole and teak sliding doors over storage shelves.  The upholstery is a beige wool fabric.
The galley is starboard with a retracting chart table to port. There's a large hatch in the forward cabin and another in the main cabin.

Galley

 The galley has a three-burner gimbaled LPG stove with an oven that’s equipped with thermocouples on all burners. A solenoid controls the gas at the tank, which is in a dedicated, sealed compartment aft with an overboard drain. A hooded exhaust fan is over stove.The stainless sink has hot and cold pressurized water with a backup foot pump.  A trash bin is fitted under sink. To port the custom top-loading, large capacity icebox has 4" insulation  with a retractable chart table over it.  The icebox is pumped out electrically and there are numerous storage lockers and drawers.

Electrical System

12 volt DC; two 90 amp. batteries, battery switches in cockpit. Navigation, steaming, deck, and cabin lights. Shore power is 30 amp. 125 volt, with control panel in forward cabin and power inlet in anchor locker. A cabin light is connected to the shore power, as well as two GFI duplex outlets and the hot water heater.

Sails & Rigging

Anodized aluminum deck stepped mast. Double spreaders and a 7/8th rig.  Permanent backstay with Johnson lever adjuster.

Stainless steel standing and Dacron running rigging.  Spinnaker pole stowed along main boom.  Jib and main halyards are internal, pole lift and spinnaker halyard are external. 
Two reefs, jib and main halyards are led to cockpit through Spinlock sheet stoppers to two Anderson 2-speed winches. 
Jib sheets are led to winches through cam cleats.  Rigid boom strut with separate block-and-tackle vang and outhaul  Bow, midship, and stern cleats.

Sails are: North Genoa (1991), Dorsal main with two reefs (2012), North Spinnaker (1985)

 

Engine & Drives

The Volvo engine has 3 cylinders, 28 h.p. It is situated in a watertight compartment under the cockpit and powers a saildrive (no stuffing box) equipped with a Gori geared  folding  propeller. 
Engine access is through a large hatch in the cockpit sole. Automatic Halon extinguisher. Fuel, oil, and water temperature gauges.
Cruising speed is 6K with fuel consumption of 0.4 to 0.5 gallons per hour.
